Following its global debut in June, Mitsubishi has announced additional details about the Eclipse Sportback EV’s charging capabilities, giving drivers a convenient and flexible approach to powering their next adventure. Every 2027 Eclipse Sportback EV will come standard with compatibility for SAE’s North American Charging System (NACS), providing access to the Supercharger network. With the ability to accept charging speeds of up to 150 kW, Level 3 DC fast charging can take the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes under appropriate conditions. Charging times and capacity can vary depending on factors such as the power source, ambient and battery temperature, battery condition and age, and the use of vehicle accessories while charging. The Eclipse Sportback EV will also feature a J1772 charging connection, supporting both Level 1 and Level 2 charging. That means owners can plug in at home or take advantage of compatible public charging options. The new Eclipse Sportback EV combines its electric powertrain with an athletic SUV-inspired design. Unique front and rear fascias echo styling cues from Mitsubishi Motors' global lineup, while distinctive lighting signatures and sporty alloy wheels give the vehicle a confident road presence.
