Heritage Mitsubishi Supports Local Nonprofit with Outlander PHEV Loan

Heritage Mitsubishi Supports Local Communities with Outlander PHEV Loan

Heritage Mitsubishi is proud to share that Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) recently provided a one-year loan of a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) to Nashville-based nonprofit Cumberland River Compact through MMNA’s Community Utility Vehicle (CUV) Program. This partnership will help the organization continue its vital work in education, restoration, and outreach programs aimed at protecting and enhancing the Cumberland River and its tributaries.

The three-row Outlander PHEV offers a combination of SUV capability, efficiency, and eco-friendly performance. With seating for seven, 38 miles of all-electric range, a total driving range of up to 420 miles, and Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system, the vehicle will allow the Cumberland River Compact to mobilize their efforts more efficiently and safely for river-side activities.

“This Outlander PHEV will play an important part in our efforts to keep Tennessee’s water clean and healthy,” said Mekayle Houghton, Executive Director of Cumberland River Compact.

The CUV Program supports nonprofits making a difference in their communities by providing versatile and sustainable vehicles. According to Katherine Knight, MMNA’s Senior VP and head of charitable programs, “This partnership with Cumberland River Compact addresses a tangible need in Nashville and underscores Mitsubishi Motors’ commitment to supporting sustainable communities.”

The CUV Program is part of MMNA’s broader corporate social responsibility initiative, “Driving Confidence – Driving Community,” which focuses on the idea that small, local efforts can create a significant impact. Past partnerships include Nashville-based Community Resource Center and Charis Health Center, Las Vegas-based Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, and Dallas-based Record the Journey.

Through this program, Mitsubishi continues to demonstrate its dedication to supporting organizations that make a positive difference in their local communities while promoting sustainable mobility.

The Mitsubishi Confidence That Comes Standard

The Mitsubishi Confidence That Comes Standard

Buying a new vehicle is one of the most significant purchases you will make, and at Heritage Mitsubishi, we believe that confidence should come with it. That is exactly what the Mitsubishi Motors Confidence Integrated Care Program is built to deliver. Every 2024 and newer Mitsubishi model comes backed by one of the most comprehensive warranty and care packages in the industry, giving you peace of mind from the moment you drive off the lot and for years down the road. 10-Year / 100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty This is the coverage that sets Mitsubishi apart. The 10-Year / 100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty is standard on all models for original owners and covers the repair or replacement of select engine, transmission, and transaxle components that may become defective under normal use and maintenance. It is one of the longest powertrain warranties in the industry and a genuine reflection of how confident Mitsubishi is in the vehicles it builds. For subsequent owners, the balance of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 5 years / 60,000 miles transfers with the vehicle, making a pre-owned Mitsubishi an equally smart choice. 2-Year / 30,000-Mile Limited Maintenance Keeping your Mitsubishi properly maintained in the early years of ownership just got easier. The 2-Year / 30,000-Mile Limited Maintenance coverage includes three scheduled service visits within the first two years, helping you stay on top of routine care without any added expense. Each service includes an oil and filter change, tire rotation, multi-point inspection, and cabin filter service. Services are redeemable at the following milestones: the first by 12 months or 12,000 miles, and the second and third by 24 months or 30,000 miles. This coverage applies to the original owner of the vehicle. 5-Year / Unlimited-Mile Roadside Assistance Life on the road does not always go as planned, and when it does not, Mitsubishi has you covered. 24-hour emergency Roadside Assistance is included for five full years with no mileage limit, so whether you are across town or across the country, help is just a phone call away. This coverage transfers with the vehicle regardless of ownership, giving every driver added reassurance. 7-Year / 100,000-Mile Anti-Corrosion / Perforation Limited Warranty Mitsubishi also stands behind the long-term appearance of its vehicles with a 7-Year / 100,000-Mile Anti-Corrosion and Perforation Limited Warranty, covering metal rust-through in outer body sheet metal panels under normal use. This warranty is transferrable with the vehicle regardless of ownership, adding lasting value whether you plan to keep your Mitsubishi for the long haul or pass it on someday. Together, these four layers of protection form one of the most well-rounded ownership packages you will find in the automotive market today. At Heritage Mitsubishi, we are proud to stand behind every vehicle we sell with the full backing of the Mitsubishi Motors Confidence Integrated Care Program. The 2027 Eclipse Sportback EV Wins Green SUV of the Year

The 2027 Eclipse Sportback EV Wins Green SUV of the Year

The recognition keeps coming for Mitsubishi, and the latest honor is a big one. Green Car Journal, one of the most respected publications covering environmentally friendly vehicles and technology, has named the 2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback its 2027 Green SUV of the Year. The award recognizes sport-utility vehicles that excel in environmental performance while delivering the style and versatility today's drivers expect. What makes this award especially meaningful is the company it keeps. The Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid earned Green Car Journal's Family Green Car of the Year award in 2019, and then again for four consecutive years from 2023 through 2026, with the 2026 award shared alongside the Outlander mild-hybrid in a historic first for the program. Now the Eclipse Sportback adds a third Green Car Journal title to the Mitsubishi family, a remarkable run of recognition that speaks to the brand's genuine commitment to electrification. "At a time when some others are scaling back, Mitsubishi is expanding its electrified choices with mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and now battery-electric models," said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of Green Car Journal. "The Eclipse Sportback EV hits a sweet spot in the market that values a mainstream compact crossover that's well-appointed, fun to drive, and comes with substantial range with convenient charging options that instill driving confidence." The Eclipse Sportback's arrival is a direct result of Mitsubishi's Momentum 2030 business plan, which prioritizes expanding electrification across the lineup and introducing new or significantly updated vehicles every year through 2030. With the Eclipse Sportback joining the mild-hybrid Outlander and the Outlander Plug-in Hybrid, Mitsubishi now offers three separate vehicles with three separate electrified powertrain options, giving drivers more choices than ever before. This new EV is built around a practical and flexible charging experience. At home or at a public Level 2 charger, the vehicle can charge from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 6.5 hours. For those on the go, the Eclipse Sportback supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW, allowing a 10 to 80 percent charge in around 35 minutes. The vehicle also features NACS compatibility, opening access to the Supercharger network for even greater charging convenience wherever the road takes you. Mitsubishi Expands Vehicle Distribution with New Texas Gulf Coast Partnership

Mitsubishi Expands Vehicle Distribution with New Texas Gulf Coast Partnership

Mitsubishi Motors North America is strengthening its commitment to delivering vehicles to customers more efficiently through a new collaboration with AMPORTS and Port Freeport in Texas. The partnership expands Mitsubishi's U.S. distribution network, helping improve delivery times to dealerships across the Gulf Coast and Midwest while supporting the brand's long-term Momentum 2030 business strategy. Port Freeport's strategic location provides a faster, more streamlined route for incoming Mitsubishi vehicles. Once vehicles arrive at the port, AMPORTS manages unloading, vehicle processing, accessory installation, and final preparation before they are shipped to dealerships. This integrated approach helps reduce transportation time, improve efficiency, and streamline the entire supply chain. The new operation officially launched earlier this year, with more than 500 Mitsubishi vehicles arriving in April and a ribbon-cutting ceremony held in July to celebrate the partnership. The event also welcomed the arrival of the Höegh Sunrise, one of the newest environmentally advanced vehicle carriers, highlighting Mitsubishi's ongoing commitment to more sustainable transportation solutions. This investment reflects Mitsubishi Motors' continued focus on improving the ownership experience by ensuring vehicles reach dealer partners more quickly and efficiently while supporting future growth across the United States. At Heritage Mitsubishi, we're excited to see Mitsubishi investing in smarter logistics and enhanced distribution, helping bring the latest Mitsubishi vehicles to our showroom faster so you can enjoy the newest models with less wait.
