Team Mitsubishi Ralliart to Compete in the Asia Cross Country Ra

Mitsubishi Motors has announced that Team Mitsubishi Ralliart will compete in the Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) from Thailand to Malaysia this August. Read on to find out more about this exciting news!

Mitsubishi Motors has announced that Team Mitsubishi Ralliart will participate in the upcoming Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) from Thailand to Malaysia, scheduled for August this year. The team's goal is to secure the championship title with a modified cross-country version of the Triton pickup truck (the T1 prototype), while also enhancing its overall strength, particularly focusing on improved power performance.

In the previous AXCR event, Team Mitsubishi Ralliart competed with three brand-new Tritons, fresh from a complete model overhaul. Chayapon Yotha from Thailand secured the 3rd place overall. The team also clinched the Team Award, recognizing entries with two or more participants who successfully completed the rally. Leveraging the sporty handling and high reliability of the Triton, the team tackled competitors with larger engines and higher power. This year, the Triton rally car set for AXCR promises even greater refinement and evolution, with enhanced acceleration performance and road handling, signaling Team Mitsubishi Ralliart's readiness for victory.

During the 45th Bangkok International Motor Show today, the Triton rally car destined for AXCR 2024 was unveiled, showcasing its new livery. Building upon last year's design, which featured a red and black motif symbolizing the energy of flowing lava, this year's iteration maintains the vibrant red while incorporating a digitized image of dust at the front, extending to the sides. Towards the rear, gunmetal gray graphics depict solidified lava, representing strength and durability. Together, the new livery encapsulates the dynamism, durability, and reliability of the Triton rally car.

Hiroshi Masuoka, team director of Team Mitsubishi Ralliart, commented, "Last year, we witnessed the resilience and durability of the all-new Triton in the challenging conditions of AXCR 2023. The rally underscored the Triton's prowess in sporty handling and exceptional road performance on rough terrain. As we enter our second year with the new-gen Triton, we've enhanced the Triton rally car's power and driving performance, widening its tread to compete shoulder-to-shoulder with vehicles boasting high-displacement engines. Team Mitsubishi Ralliart is poised for victory, and we eagerly await your support."
