Over the past couple of months, MMNA has received heartfelt messages from two proud owners of high-mileage Mitsubishi SUVs, expressing their satisfaction and pride in their vehicles. Let's meet Amy Butterworth and Letha Grubb, both grandmothers and proud owners of Mitsubishis that have recently surpassed the remarkable milestone of 300,000 miles, steadfastly serving their owners. Tennessee resident Amy Butterworth has been the proud owner of her 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander since it was brand new. Purchased from Gossett Mitsubishi in Memphis, Tennessee, with just 13 miles on the odometer, Butterworth shared her journey with the Outlander, saying, "I went looking for a new car back then, and I was eyeing a Jeep Wrangler or something. I was just about to finalize the paperwork when I turned around and saw the Mitsubishi sitting there. I said, 'Wait a minute, what kind of car is that?' The salesperson told me about it, and I said, 'Let me test drive that one.' So, I did and just fell in love with it." more Butterworth continued, "I wasn't expecting it to last this long, but it has. We replaced the radiator fan along the way, but other than that, all I've had done was tires, and I've not had any problems." In her 2005 Outlander, Butterworth has traveled to Texas, Florida, and Oklahoma, commuted 60 miles daily to and from work, and made food deliveries over the past three years. "It still looks good," Butterworth added. "Anyone could get one to go that long if they took care of it. That's what I did, and look at it! I still get compliments on it all the time... I'd get in it and go anywhere in the United States today."
