Last month, all of us here at Heritage Mitsubishi were proud to sponsor the Clayton County Backpack Bash! The county, along with their local businesses, came together for a full day event to buy back used backpacks and other school supplies from local families. These supplies were then collected to be distributed to families in need for the new school year!
The first event took place onSaturday, July 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jim Huie Recreation Center, 9045 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro – with seven other events taking place throughout the county. Each event included different fun activities for all ages, including music, food, bounce houses, games, free haircuts and more. The school supplies and backpacks collected were given out at first come first serve, with incredible turnouts at each location.
