Heritage Mitsubishi is proud to share that Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) recently provided a one-year loan of a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) to Nashville-based nonprofit Cumberland River Compact through MMNA’s Community Utility Vehicle (CUV) Program. This partnership will help the organization continue its vital work in education, restoration, and outreach programs aimed at protecting and enhancing the Cumberland River and its tributaries.
The three-row Outlander PHEV offers a combination of SUV capability, efficiency, and eco-friendly performance. With seating for seven, 38 miles of all-electric range, a total driving range of up to 420 miles, and Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system, the vehicle will allow the Cumberland River Compact to mobilize their efforts more efficiently and safely for river-side activities.
“This Outlander PHEV will play an important part in our efforts to keep Tennessee’s water clean and healthy,” said Mekayle Houghton, Executive Director of Cumberland River Compact.
The CUV Program supports nonprofits making a difference in their communities by providing versatile and sustainable vehicles. According to Katherine Knight, MMNA’s Senior VP and head of charitable programs, “This partnership with Cumberland River Compact addresses a tangible need in Nashville and underscores Mitsubishi Motors’ commitment to supporting sustainable communities.”
The CUV Program is part of MMNA’s broader corporate social responsibility initiative, “Driving Confidence – Driving Community,” which focuses on the idea that small, local efforts can create a significant impact. Past partnerships include Nashville-based Community Resource Center and Charis Health Center, Las Vegas-based Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, and Dallas-based Record the Journey.
Through this program, Mitsubishi continues to demonstrate its dedication to supporting organizations that make a positive difference in their local communities while promoting sustainable mobility.
