Mitsubishi Debuts the Elevance Concept

Get ready for the next era of Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi Motors unveiled the Mitsubishi Elevance Concept, an electrified crossover SUV designed to elevate both adventure and everyday driving. The reveal headlined this year’s Japan Mobility Show, where Mitsubishi showcased vehicles built around its theme: “Forever Adventure.” President and CEO Takao Kato emphasized the brand’s commitment to exploration and driving enjoyment, highlighting both the Elevance Concept and the evolved Delica lineup.

Mitsubishi Elevance Concept: A New Vision of Electric Adventure

The Elevance Concept blends smooth, futuristic design with Mitsubishi’s latest electrification and all-wheel-control technologies. Its quad-motor 4WD system with Super-All Wheel Control provides confident performance on city streets, backroads, and off-road terrain.

Powered by a PHEV system featuring a carbon-neutral-fuel-compatible engine and a large traction battery, the Elevance delivers clean, quiet everyday driving with the range and flexibility needed for longer trips. The battery can also power glamping-style campsite amenities when paired with a trailer.

Inside, Mitsubishi introduces its new AI Co-Driver, which suggests destinations based on the driver’s lifestyle, recommends drive modes in real time, and enhances overall safety and confidence.

A seamless cabin layout, expansive display screens, and a spacious three-row interior create a high-class, comfortable environment for up to six passengers—ideal for adventure or long-distance travel.

Design That Blends Elegance and Capability

Inspired by the “Luxe Adventurer” theme, the Elevance Concept features:

  • A capsule-style cabin paired with a strong, rib-bone-inspired body frame
  • An evolved Dynamic Shield front design with a honeycomb grille
  • Wide character lines that flow from headlights to taillights
  • Lowered side windows that improve outward visibility and immersion in nature

With advanced electric 4WD, precise wheel-by-wheel traction control, and enhanced body stability, the Elevance Concept promises secure, smooth driving—even on rugged terrain.

The Delica Lineup Expands

Mitsubishi also highlighted the long-loved Delica series, known for its capability, durability, and family-friendly versatility. With over 1.38 million units sold, the Delica continues to be a favorite for both daily life and outdoor adventures.

New Delica D:5 (Prototype)

The latest Delica D:5 evolves into a more refined “all-around MPV,” now featuring S-AWC for improved stability and handling across varied road surfaces. It sports a stronger, more polished exterior with a redesigned grille, bumper, and wheel arch moldings, plus an upgraded interior with digital displays and rugged metal accents.
