Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) closed 2024 with remarkable sales growth, highlighting its commitment to delivering stylish, technology-packed, and value-driven vehicles. The company recorded Q4 sales of 27,125 units, a 38.4% year-over-year (YOY) increase, while annual sales surged 25.8% to 109,843 units—the brand’s best performance since 2019. Notably, every model in Mitsubishi’s lineup achieved full-year sales increases, with the Outlander and Outlander Plug-in Hybrid achieving their best-ever annual sales.

Leading Mitsubishi’s impressive performance, the Outlander posted 9,624 Q4 sales (up 7.2%) and 45,253 full-year sales (up 6.5%), setting a new record for the nameplate. The Outlander Plug-in Hybrid also had a banner year, with 1,800 Q4 sales (up 14.1%) and 6,975 full-year sales, marking its best annual performance to date.

The Eclipse Cross followed suit with strong growth, achieving 2,540 Q4 sales (up 11.4%) and 12,724 annual sales, a 28.2% YOY increase.

“This year’s success highlights Mitsubishi’s ability to deliver the right lineup of vehicles for today’s consumers, led by our flagship Outlander and Outlander Plug-in Hybrid,” said Mark Chaffin, MMNA’s president and CEO. “As we prepare to launch the refreshed 2025 Outlander next month, we’re confident this momentum will carry into the New Year.”

MMNA’s sales achievements in 2024 were complemented by the announcement of its Momentum 2030 plan, focused on four strategic priorities:

  • Electrification: Expanding Mitsubishi’s electric and hybrid offerings.
  • Renewed Product Lineup: Strengthening the North American portfolio.
  • Modernized Retail Model: Innovating the car-buying experience.
  • Network Expansion: Growing dealership reach and sales.

The highly anticipated 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander, featuring new design updates and enhanced technology, will arrive at dealerships nationwide in late February 2025, reinforcing the brand’s trajectory of innovation and growth.
