Mitsubishi Unveils First-Ever Outlander Trail Edition

With a legacy forged in the world’s toughest terrain, including 12 overall victories in the Paris-to-Dakar Rally and four World Rally Championship driver’s titles, Mitsubishi Motors’ Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system has already proven it can handle anything nature throws its way. Now, that same rally-bred technology comes standard on every 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition, ensuring the fun doesn’t stop when the pavement ends.

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has announced its first dedicated off-highway styling and equipment package for the Outlander SUV. Based on the SE trim, the 2025 Outlander Trail Edition carries a starting MSRP of $39,295 and brings rugged capability together with distinctive style and upgraded features.

The Outlander Trail Edition makes its presence known with exclusive blacked-out styling cues: matte-and-gloss hood decals, black hood garnish, a dedicated Trail Edition badge, black skid bumper trim, extended black fender flares, and — for the first time on an Outlander — unique black 18-inch basket-weave wheels. Black mirror caps, door handles, and roof trim complete the aggressive look.

Inside, Mitsubishi adds function to form with Trail Edition all-weather floor mats for every seating position and a dedicated cargo mat designed to preserve access to the SUV’s segment-exclusive third-row seating.

Buyers can customize their Outlander Trail Edition right off the lot with dealer-installed accessories, including Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT tires, Thule roof racks, mountain-themed body graphics, and a range of Thule gear carriers for bikes, boards, canoes, and more. All accessories are stocked at Mitsubishi dealers for seamless personalization.

Every Trail Edition benefits from the latest Outlander updates, including revised steering and ride tuning, a redesigned interior with expanded storage, new wireless device charging, and a larger center console. Comfort and tech highlights include:
