Mitsubishi Motors Partners with Tucker’s House

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has forged a partnership with Tucker’s House, a middle-Tennessee-based nonprofit organization, by providing them access to a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid SUV. This initiative is part of MMNA’s Community Utility Vehicle (CUV) program, which extends vehicle loans to nonprofit organizations, empowering them to make a positive impact within their local communities.
Tucker’s House, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, stands as a unique organization in the region, offering assistance to children and young adults with disabilities and their families. Their focus revolves around enhancing home safety and accessibility through retrofitting solutions. The safety side of the automotive industry has changed dramatically in the recent past. Although automakers have always worked to make their vehicles safer, the addition of new active and passive features has transformed the way people drive. Mitsubishi is no exception, as this automaker remains committed to safety with high-end features.
Durable Body Construction
Mitsubishi utilizes a signature construction design to enhance the safety of its vehicles. This design is known as RISE, which stands for Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution, and includes reinforced bars in each of the doors. When a vehicle is involved in a collision, the doors tend to be some of the weakest points, causing significant injuries to those seated on the exterior seats. With the RISE design and energy-absorbing materials in the front, rear, and sides of the vehicle, Mitsubishi’s models can help to protect the driver and passengers in the event of a collision.
The strategic reinforcements provide a buffer to the vehicle in a high-impact collision, complementing the side-impact door beams and establishing a secure and stable base. The frame of every vehicle is also made of high-strength steel and includes designated crumple zones as an added measure of protection.

Whenever you apply the brakes, a whopping 800 to 2,000 pounds per square inch of pressure is applied in order to stop your car. This enormous pressure steadily wears down even the toughest of brake components. If you notice the following signs of worn-out brakes, it’s best to visit your nearest Mitsubishi dealer at once for brake repair.
Reduced Deceleration
Healthy brakes should promptly slow you down or stop you when you press the pedal. If you ever realize your car isn’t decelerating as readily, it’s best to pull over, as driving with unresponsive brakes is dangerous.
You may find that your brakes are less effective because of overheating. When brakes are used continually for a long period, such as in heavy traffic, they can sometimes overheat. Overheating can lead to a sudden loss of friction called brake fade.
